Compassionate people are our kind of people and here at Animal Aid we want to empower everyone to make this world a kinder place for animals. So, each episode we invite you to join the Animal Aid team in delving into a thought provoking discussion with our guests – from celebrities, to scientists, to animal rescuers – on what living kindly means to them. We also discuss the latest positive news in the animal rights movement, answer your burning questions and have (maybe too many) conversations on the latest vegan junk food. This episode Jade and guest host Daisy, welcome Hilary Jones, the Ethics Director of Lush.
Animal Aid has been campaigning to end the cruel LD50 animal test for decades, and last year funded XCellR8 laboratory to create an animal-free alternative. We are thrilled to share that this test, AcutoX, is now ready for market. We have therefore partnered with Lush to call for an end to the archaic LD50 test as a first step in our campaign. If you head to a Lush store near you on the day this episode airs, you will see our campaign in the Lush window front.
